Award Winning Students
Founded in 1886, the Royal Conservatory of Music in Canada has become one of the world’s largest institutions for music education. Known as the National Music Certificate Program in America, we are the Exam Center for Central Florida. Our students have scored high marks and achieved amazing progress with this program: earning music degrees, becoming music teachers, winning talent contests, or just enjoying making music as a hobby.
The National Federation of Music Clubs is a non profit organization committed to the advancement of music and music education in the community. Our students are members of the Junior Club Division: Keys to Success Junior Music Club for ages 18 and under. They perform in the Festival at UCF and attend the state Junior Convention/competition at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville. The students also do community service concerts. Our students have received superior ratings along with gold cup awards and certificates. Members are eligible for scholarship auditions.
The American College of Musicians sponsors the Guild Auditions for piano. Our students prepare a program of music they have studied during the year to play for a judge. The students receive a certificate, report card, and pin.
We host the Yamaha Clavinova Festival once a year. Students prepare a special fun piece using the Clavinova digital piano settings. They receive a t shirt and certificate from Yamaha. There is also a prize drawing for a keyboard.
Fun and Easy Homework
Students receive a user name and password to access the on line theory practice website. It automatically tracks the students progress. The theory skills are in a game format that is lots of fun for the students and increases their skills at music reading and ear training.
Group or Partner Lessons
A group class consists of 3 to 6 students. The class meets once a week for 60 minutes. The partner class consists of 2 students. The partners meet once a week for 45 minutes. Each student plays at their own piano. The Yamaha digital pianos are connected to the Teacher ‘s piano by the Yamaha class piano system, which uses state of the art head phones/microphones and midi cables.
